A Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia na Região Fluminense, em parceria com a fundação suíça Advent-Stiftung e a Associação Rio Fluminense (ARF), está offering two new courses for the community: Panificação and Corte e Costura. These courses are a part of the Ação Solidária program, which aims to provide professional training to individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Panificação: A Artesanal da Brot
The Panificação course has already started on August 13th and will continue for six months to a year. Participants will learn the art of bread-making, from preparation to finishing touches. The instructor, a skilled baker, will share tips and tricks to ensure students master the craft. With over 60 families already benefiting from this program, it’s clear that this course is a valuable investment in the community.
Corte e Costura: A Arte de Criar
The Corte e Costura course is set to start on June 20th and will run for six months to a year. Students will learn the basics of tailoring, from preparing fabric to finishing touches. A local seamstress, who has kindly lent her home for the course, emphasizes the importance of patience, dedication, and attention to detail. The goal is to equip students with the skills necessary to create beautiful garments and home textiles.

To enroll in one of these courses, please contact the Secretaria da Ação Solidária da ARF at (21) 2645-9140. The courses will take place at specified locations in São Gonçalo and Campos dos Goytacazes, with regular classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 12pm. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the program.
